TLDR ON THE BOTTOM
So, I am going to start studying graphic design in four days. I got a alright laptop now, but I need something new. The one I got now is extremely heavy, bad screen accuracy and colours, barely one hour of battery life and is way to big to carry around without a backpack. I can make it work, but it does not sound like a good experience .
It seems like most people in the school I am attending is using Macbooks. All the desktop PC's in the school are Mac's, and everything you learn is displayed in a Mac. As far as I know, the Adobe package is pretty much identical on Windows and Mac OS, so the main difference would be shortcuts etc.
I was considering buying a Mac, but I really dont like the OS, and its extremely expensive for the specs you get. I get that the OS is fast, but I really, really suck at using Mac OS, I just can't get used to it. I'll have to deal with that with the desktops, but for my own laptop I want Windows, if thats good enough.
Ive been looking a long time for a Windows PC with the quality of a Macbook, but cheaper and hopefully with just as good or better specs. And today I found the Lenovo Yoga 710 (Signature Edition, so no Lenovo crapware), and holy fuck, I was impressed. The screen was amazing, looked just as good as on the almost doubly priced Macbook Pro in the store, it felt really fast, using it as a tablet seemed really convenient etc. It also seems pretty useful to have a nice touchscreen for graphics design, as I know that the course involves alot of digital drawings and sketches, and I can imagine that being a little hard with a trackpad. The specs seemed really good for the price, the battery looks good and the build quality is top notch.
TLDR:
![Lenovo Laptop For Graphic Design Lenovo Laptop For Graphic Design](http://www.laptophub.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Best-Laptop-for-Graphic-Design-lenovo-ideapad-y510p.jpg)
Is the Lenovo Yoga 710 a good choice for graphics design, espesially compared to a Macbook? If not, what laptop would you recommend for around the same price?
